Six years designing the quiet half of products — APIs, queues, databases, the parts users never see but always feel. Lately: Node / NestJS, AWS, PostgreSQL, and the occasional serverless adventure.
I build the backends for retail platforms, trading systems, CRMs, and a handful of products that involve a lot of money moving carefully between places. My favourite problems are the boring-looking ones: data consistency, query performance, order lifecycles — the things that only get noticed when they break.
Before engineering I ran a YouTube channel with 70K subscribers and 100M total views. Turns out shipping videos on a schedule is decent preparation for shipping services on a schedule. Both require you to care about the thing nobody sees: the pipeline.
